Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre will be out at least two weeks after he left Sunday's game with a sprained thumb.
Beltre, who had two hits and two RBIs against the Red Sox, suffered the injury sliding into second base in the fifth inning.
Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander struggled in his first rehabilitation start, giving up three runs in 2 2/3 innings for Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.
The former AL MVP and Cy Young winner is trying to work his way back into the Tigers' rotation from a right triceps injury he sustained in spring training.
The Tigers have not announced whether Verlander will continue his rehab or now join the major league team.
The Dodgers placed left-handed reliever Paco Rodriguez on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with a strained pitching elbow, according to an ESPN.com report.

Despite being tied for major league lead in home runs, Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is considering skipping out on the home run derby.
Harper told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he may not participate in the long ball event but that he hasn't made a final decision.
"We'll see if I end up doing it or not," Harper said. "As of right now, I don't know if I'll end up doing it."
Two days after making his first appearance of the season, A's closer Sean Doolittle was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left shoulder.

They Brewers lost another regular when left fielder Khris Davis left Milwaukee's loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday after taking an awkward swing while striking out in the first inning. A frustrated Davis said after the game that he will need surgery Tuesday for a torn meniscus in his right knee.

"The worst," he said.
Jason Heyward has gotten off to a slow start with the Cardinals, but GM John Mozeliak said he does not regret making the blockbuster trade for the outfielder.
Mozeliak says that the Cardinals' circumstances this past offseason, specifically the death of 22-year-old right fielder Oscar Taveras, factored into the four-player trade with the Braves that sent Heyward to St. Louis.
The Nationals placed Stephen Strasburg on the 15-day disabled list Saturday, one day after the right-hander left his start after only 16 pitches due to neck stiffness.
The Nationals made the move prior to Saturday afternoon's game against the Reds, recalling right-hander Taylor Hill to replace Strasburg on the 25-man roster.
